Paradoxes in conceptions of hosts’ role in ticks dynamics (by example of the taiga tick)

Data, concerning dynamics of Taiga tick numbers in Karelia located in the north-western border of its area, are presented in the article. It’s shown that in spite of high significance of host for ticks their number dynamics hadn’t appropriate effects on adult ticks number dynamics. Short-term and especially long-term cycles of Taiga tick number dynamics are connected with quasiperiodical climate fluctuations. Special role belongs to macrocyclic (medium-term) climate component, which cause anagogic number fluctuation of hungry adult ticks.

Forming of resistant to insecticide flea populations

Survey of the world literature on the problem of forming of resistant to insecticides flea populations is presented. Certified method of determination of flea resistance to insecticides and diagnostic concentrations of 23 insecticides of different chemical groups for imago Xenopsylla cheopis are described.

Spread of the rabies of animals on the Ural region

The territory of the Ural region is stationary unfortunate on rabies of the wild animals. The high level of the animals infected by rabies was noted in Krasnoufimsk, Polevskoy, Bogdanovith, Baykalovo and Beloyarskiy at the expense of the affection of the carnivorous. The level of the disease incidence of the wild beasts in the structure of the common discovery composed in 2006-2007 – 69%, in 2008 – 86%, in 2009 – 80%, in 2010 – 76%.. The share of foxes in the structure of morbidity of the wild carnivorous composed in average in 2006 – 2007 ye. 71-89% last year to the epizootic process of the rabies the raccoon dogs began to join, especially in 2008 and 2010 ye. (29% and 23% out of all established cases of the sickness rate of the wild beasts). The expressed seasonality was noted in the winter – spring period. For the prophylaxis of the rabies of the carnivorous, the vaccination wild of the wild beasts was carried out by the antirabic vaccine for the oral using of «Oralrabivak».

In this review on the basis of Public Register data on disinfection, disinsection and deratization it was carried out the analysis of antimoth insecticides used the number of annual registrations, assortment (preparatory forms), active agents and manufacturers for the period of 2003-2009 years.
