This paper represents the results of the research of forest centers in the Central Forest Biospheric State Nature Reserve in Nelidovski district of Tver region. There were found and characterized the combine natural foci of tularemia, leptospirosis and hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS). The species of small mammals involved in the epizootics were determined. The bank vole (Clethrionomys glareolus) was found as the dominant species involved in the epizootics. Some of them were mixed with the causative agent of three infection (tularemia, leptospirosis and HFRS). Common territory, the presence the mixed infections in small mammals (mainly the bank voles) with two or three causative agents propose the possibility of the simultaneous or non-simultaneous the human infections in combined natural foci.

Keywords: tularemia, leptospirosis and hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS), mixed infections, combined natural foci, bank vole.

New classification of territory estimation depended on taeniarhynchosis sickness rate of population is offered. Geoinformation system (GIS) is applied for maximal visualization of information about taeniarhynchosis. Spread of taeniarhynchosis among population and cattle cysticercosis in Chechen Republic has been studied. Four areas with high sickness rate are selected in Chechen Republic.

BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION

Ecology and adaptations by hamster species (Cricetinae) in anthropogenous environments

Ushakova M.

Here is the brief review on ecology and adaptations by hamster species in anthropogenous environments inhabiting in Russia. Hamsters do not usually become a dominant of community, single life and that is why they are not a serious pest of agriculture and do not have large medical significance. Although some species do have the ability to increase in number in agrolandscapes and cities. Becoming a real synanthropic, extruding from the city habitats: the house mouse (grey hamster in Armenia) and the brown rat (common hamster in Crimea). At the same time, change of character of land tenure and the application of rodenticides and pesticides can lead to area reduction or even complete extinction (a common hamster in Europe, ciscaucasian hamster in Dagestan)

THE PROBLEMS OF APPLIED ZOOLOGY

Synanthropization, veterinary epidemiology and zoonoses

V.V.Makarov Russian people friendship university

Systematic rewiev is devoted to synanthropization as new ecological reality with veterinary and epidemiological significance. Four gropes of wild animals (red foxes, raccoon dogs, boars, bats) were considered in context the theme as well as the elements of its ecology, zoonoses which they reserved and synergizing co-factors. It is followed with some conclusions, main evaluation and recommendations on research phenomenon.

Keywords: synanthropy, synanthropization, wild animals, veterinary epidemiology, zoonoses.

M. V. Ushakova, research fellow, Candidate of Biology, Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The study of the impact of ozone-air mixture on scaring away mice. The experiments were carried out on a test group of ten outbred mice. The concentrations of ozone-air mixture during the test did not exceed 40 mg/m3. The test was carried out with the use of specially developed equipment to ensure the purity of the biological experiment. The obtained experimental data reflect the behavioral response in the presence of ozone in pure air.

Keywords: Ozone, electron-ion technologies, biological objects.

CONFERENCES

International Conference on Urban Pest – 7

Sapunov V. B., St.Petersburg State Agricultural University

The main topics of -international conference, organized in Brazil in August 2010 were considered. This was first such a meeting at Latin America. Consideration of world problems of pest control was accompanied by discussion of specific pest and environment problems of South America. Despite of great achievements of pest control, the progress of pests takes place all over the world. The future of pest control must be based on the complex approaches based on knowledge of modern biological and technical sciences and ecological education.

Keywords: pests, ecological management, Latin America.
