INFECTIOUS AND PARASITIC DISEASES

Dirofilariosis in the Astrakhan region. Current state of the problem

Arakeljuan R. S. candidate of medical sciences; Galimzjuanov H. M. professor, Arakeljuan A. S., State educational institution of higher professional education of the Astrakhan state medical Academy of the Ministry of health of the Russian Federation, 414000, Astrakhan, Bakinskaju street, 121

The problem of dirofilariasis caused by nematodes Dirofilaria repens and Dirofilaria immitis, in our country is not well studied and remains difficult in epidemiological terms and in terms of early diagnosis.

Detection of new cases of dirofilariasis requires mandatory and timely investigation.

Assesment of potential epidemic threat in reference to associated HFRS foci, Ufa city

Mochalkin P.A., Mochalkin A.P., Stepanov E.G., Farvazova L.A., Popov N.V., State Municipal Health Institution «Republican Center for Desinfection», Ufa Rospotrebnadzor Administration in the Republic

of Bashkortostan, Ufa Federal Government Health Institution Russian Research Anti-Plague Institute «Microbe», Saratov

It is substantiated that an persistent complex of associated anthropourgic (forest-parkland variety), natural-anthropurgic (forest-garden variety), and natural (forest-riverside variety) HFRS foci has been formed in the territory of Ufa..Four groups of areas – with a very high, high, intermediate and low HFRS morbidity rate are determined. The highest HFRS morbidity rate is registered in the central part of Ufa, characterized by elevated terrain, within the boundaries of forest-park inrtazonal landscape variety of anthropurgic focus. Rodents number fluctuations and the level of population contacts with natural focal complexes are considered as the risk factors for population infecting.

Keywords: associated natural, naturalanthropurgic and anthropourgic HFRS foci in Ufa, potential epidemic dangers on the territory, the level of population contact with natural focal complexes, nonspecific prophylaxis

Efficiency of parenteral Nocodazole injections under experimental larval cystic echinococcosis of white mice

Shkoljar N. A., Kukhaleva I. V., Legonkov Yu. A., Kovalenko F. P., professor 1st MSMU named by I. M.Sechenov, Moscow 20, st. Malaya Pyrogovskaya, Moscow, 119435

Investigated the therapeutic activity of subcutaneous and intraperitoneal of Nocodazole injection under larval stage of experimental E. granulosus invasion of white mice. Animals were intraperitoneally infected by echinococcus larvocysts protoscolices from spontaneously infested sheep. Expressed larvicidal effect of repeated parenteral nocodazole injections at low daily doses is caused by first identified substance nocodazole ability to undergo complete resorption from micro- depots in serous cavities and subcutaneous cellulose of infested animals.

Epizootologic monitoring and nonspecific prophylaxis of West-Nile encephalitis in the Saratov region

The report presents the results of West-Nile encephalitis epizootic monitoring in the Saratov region. Circulation of the virus in natural habitats in the region is registered since 90s of last century. In the first decade of the current century WNE markers were revealed)in populations of waterfowl, small mammals and ticks . Activation of WNE foci began in 2010. During later years the sickness rate in the region was increasing: in 2011, 3 cases in 2012 noted 11 registered cases, in 2013 – 31 cases . Materials, received by operating observations in natural and anthropurgic WNE foci are used to develop of recommendations for the prevention and reduction of population sickness rate.

Keywords: West-Nile encephalitis, epizootic observation, virus circulation, nonspecific prophylaxis

Scientific Research Institute for Disinfectology, Moscow, Russia

Rodenticide and systemic insectoacaricide actions of «3D-HIT» bait were studied in vitro. High rodenticide effect of the bait is provided by introduction in the composition such highly active rodenticides as bromadiolone and flocoumafene (in total concentration of 0,005%), and insectoacaricide effect – by introduction fipronil in 0,025% concentration. The «3D-HIT» bait provides not only fleas death, but also the blood-sicking gamazid mites. The bait efficiency against rodents is high and their full extermination is registered on the fifth day. The bait is actively eaten by rodents.Efficiency means high against rodents and their complete destruction comes on the fifth day.

Keywords: insecto-rodenticide bait, fipronil, bromadiolone and flocoumafene, rat mite, rat flea

BIRDS CONTROL

Birds as carriers and natural reservoir of infections

Grabovsky V. I. Ph.D (Biol.),

group of company «AGROCON», Moscow

One of the reasons why some birds considered to pest – species – is their ability to carry dangerous for human infection and to be their natural reservoir. There are many known zoonotic diseases, which source can be of animals such as birds. Statistic account of such infections can be much underestimated because of similarity of symptoms of these diseases and common infections (influenza, acute respiratory infections, etc.), as well as with the possibility of asymptomatic disease. Additional studies are needed to assess the real contribution of zoonotic infections in the overall picture of infections risks. Monitoring pest – bird species needs to assessment their possible contribution to the epidemiological process.

Materials, indicative of the close scientific contacts academician of AMS of the USSR V.N. Beklemishev with Omsk research Institute of natural focal infections in the period of integrated field studies aimed at the development and implementation of a measures system for the Krasnoyarsk HPP builders protection against tick-borne encephalitis (TBE). A letter by V. N. Beklemishev to Professor G. I. Netsky containing the basic questions of the program and methods of natural foci of TBE research is cited where the term “village pseudo focus” of tick-borne encephalitis was interpreted the first time. The main results of investigations by virologists, epidemiologists and zoologists from Omsk Institute, as well as original research of immunological population structure in relation to the TBE conducted by D. K. Lvov are described.
