Abstract. The wide spread of infectious and parasitic diseases among humans and animals contributes to the intense contamination of the environment (soil, water, household items, vegetables, greens dining room) by their pathogens (helminth eggs). Failure to observe the rules of personal hygiene, the lack of basic prevention measures, not only among humans but also among animals, contamination of environmental objects by eggs of parasites – all of this leads to increasing in the number of cases of parasitic morbidity, not only among animals but also among people, and in the most cases, the risk of parasitic infestation in children. Socio-economic situation in the republics of the former Soviet Union, economic instability, the last civil war in many countries of the CIS, have contributed to the fact that many parasitic diseases again began to register in the population not only in these countries but also in other nearby republics.

Reported are the results of screening for West Nile fever in urban complexes of the Saratov Region in 2010-2015. Accordingly, against the backdrop of climate warming, in the presence of favorable conditions for habitation of carrier-birds, mosquitoes, and Ixodidae ticks – vectors of the virus, sustained anthropourgic and natural-anthropourgic foci have developed. In addition, given are the data on fauna, abundance rates and epizootiological significance of birds, rodents, mosquitoes, and Ixodidae ticks in residential biotopes of the Region.

This work presents the materials concerning specific epizootological situation characterizing by leading role of ticks D. marginutus in tick-borne encephalitis virus circulation under favorable weather conditions; and the data detected etiological agents of human monocytic ehrlichiosis and human granulocytic anaplasmosis are also given. The territorially combined foci of tick-borne infections are defined. The conclusions about the necessity for further study of parasitic system components and isolation of the above mentioned infections’ etiological agents for several successive years in order to exclude the possibility of their importation from other territories are made.

Mosquitoes as vectors of Zika virus and insecticide resistance

N. V. Shestopalov, S. A. Roslavtseva, E. I. Olekhnovich, M. A. Alekseev Scientific Research Disinfectology Institute, Moscow

History of Zika virus detection and its spread to different countries, with the participation of mosquitoes Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus are described. These species, or missing or have not found in mosquito fauna of Russia, were imported to the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus in the first decade of the XXI century. Due to the fact that sensitivity of these mosquitoes in Russia to insecticides is unknown, we defined the diagnostic concentrations of nine insecticides from different chemical groups for larvae of laboratory susceptible Ae. aegypti strain in order to obtain baseline data for rapid testing on the presence of insecticide-resistant individuals in natural populations.

Current methods of evaluation of allergenic and pyrogenic compounds exposure in the dust of dwellings are reviewed. The relevance of this kind of surveys of premises is caused by increasing number of people with hypersensitivity in the population. Integrated approach, namely the simultaneous quantification of allergens from different sources and pyrogenic compounds allows to obtain the most complete characterization of the dwellings in terms of comfort for people with hypersensitivity to household allergens.

Parasitic diseases remain a leading place in the infectious diseases morbidity structure among the population of the Russian Federation. According to WHO parasitic diseases in the world affect more than 4.5 billion people. In Russia, about one million patients with parasitic diseases are registered annually. In the Astrakhan region in the past 5 years (2011 – 2015) 17044 cases of parasitic diseases were registered [1-7, 12-15].
